Campbell County maintains among the lowest crime rates in the nation for counties similar in size. This is in large part due to the work of the Campbell County Police Department and its partner law enforcement agencies. Additionally, the Office of Emergency Management is an award-winning department charged with planning and executing disaster and emergency mitigation, preparedness, response, respectively and recovery.

Housing Program

The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a federal rent subsidy program sponsored by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the HCV Program is to assist very-low income households to obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing. Qualified families pay 30 percent of their gross income for rent and utilities. The Housing Choice Voucher Program pays the remainder of the total contract rent to the landlord under a specific contract with money allocated from HUD.

The Fiscal Court’s public facilities and grounds are intended for County sponsored activities. When the facilities are not in use by County officials or staff, they may be used by other organizations for occasional meetings.
