We welcome you to the edge and beginning of the “Bourbon State,” Kentucky. Our state is the epicenter of Bourbon Culture & History. You can enter it after crossing the original Bourbon Line, the Ohio River, which transported the first bourbon throughout the U.S. 

Meet the anchor of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour, New Riff Distilling.  This gem in Newport, KY has been distilling and creating a new riff on bourbon since 2014.  Their design inspired distillery will lift your spirits and give you new insight to the art and science of bourbon making.

The second stop in Campbell County is the Prohibition Bourbon Bar at Newberry Bros. which has the look and feel of a small prohibition-era speakeasy, and features the largest collection of bourbon and rye whiskeys found anywhere in the world - thousands of them - including several of the rarest, well-aged whiskeys you'll find anywhere.
In Dayton, the Purple Poulet is a southern bourbon bistro inspired by the cuisines of Charleston and New Orleans, with an infusion of Kentucky. Three Spirits Tavern in Bellevue, Ky. is located in a historic 1880s brick three-story home and prides themselves in their house cocktail creations, including the “Funken Old Fashioned,” named after a local coal broker, who tends to make his presence known in “spirit” around the bar from time to time.

Pensive Distilling Co. is located on bustling Monmouth Street in walkable downtown Newport, Ky. They feature spirits distilled and bottled on the premises, including bourbon, apple pie moonshine, and vodka. They also offer a full menu of homemade dishes in case those walks spur on your appetite.
