Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides unparalleled, confidential, no-cost one on one business consulting and training services that help existing business owners and potential entrepreneurs succeed. These services include one-on-one management consultations, training workshops, market research, loan packaging help, assistance with financial projections, and sharing information needed to make informed business decisions at every stage of a small business' life cycle.
Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE)
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) ignites the entrepreneurial mindset, fuels desires with resources, and provides an education to make dreams a reality, and foster innovation across campus and the region. The Center offers a variety of programs such as Jump Start, INKUbator, INKUbiz, and ETAP to deliver innovative student-centered experiential learning.
Institute for Health Innovation (IHI)
The Institute for Health Innovation (IHI) at Northern Kentucky University was established in 2018 to encompass teaching, research, outreach, advocacy, and policy initiatives around population health. We drive change that directly addresses urgent unmet health needs. In collaborating with community and business partners, the Institute is leveraging our expertise to support health innovation centers of excellence in the Northern Kentucky region.
Incubator Kitchen Collective
The Incubator Kitchen Collective is a community-driven support system that combines resources, knowledge, and experience to help local food entrepreneurs succeed. We provide education, promote food access, and offer support to our kitchen members and to the community around us.
Kentucky Commercialization Ventures (KCV)
Kentucky Commercialization Ventures (KCV) provides the tools and expertise to translate innovations, research findings and intellectual property into market-ready products, services and job-creating startups. In order to growing the Commonwealth’s tech sector, KCV focuses on commercializing the best ideas from Kentucky’s public universities and colleges such as Northern Kentucky University.
Kentucky Innovation Investment Program (KIIP)
Kentucky Innovation Investment Program (KIIP) exists to help those entrepreneurs and new companies land the highly competitive and prestigious SBIR/STTR federal grants, which may be matched with state funds.
