AMTRAK passenger trains run through our area on a regular basis. AMTRAK offers passenger train emergency responder training, and we were able to bring this course to Pendleton County.
The training is a no-cost emergency preparedness course to communities near the Amtrak service area. It’s encouraged for Firefighters, Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, Emergency Managers,
Emergency Communication Center dispatchers, medical examiners/ coroners or any others who may respond to or be involved in Amtrak emergencies.
