COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Enhance your Incident Command skills, with a special focus on new concepts of the Incident Command System (ICS). The training and resources provided in this course will assist personnel who require advanced application of the ICS. The course will also benefit any person who has a responsibility to function in a command post managing an expanding incident.
This course builds upon information covered in the ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-300 courses and explains the roles and responsibilities of local, county, state, and federal agencies involved in managing an expanding incident.
You will participate in group activities that introduce the use of an Incident Complex and Area Command, and the interactions between Multi-Agency Coordination (MAC) entities. This course is 18 hours.

Topics covered in the course include:
Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Review, Vulnerability Assessment, Community Crisis Preparedness, Critical Incidents and the Incident Command System (ICS), Incident Assessment and Establishing Objectives, Unified Command and Integrating External Resources, Resource Management, The Planning Meeting and Operations Briefing, Incident Close Out and Post-Test and Final Table-Top Exercise.
PARTICIPANT CRITERIA:
The target audience for this course is senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an area command or multiagency coordination entity.
PERQUISITE:
Participants should work in a supervisory or managerial capacity and must have completed FEMA’s IS-700, IS-100, ICS 200 and IS-300. Certificates for these courses must be submitted with registration. Email these certificates to wturner@campbellcountyky.gov or mail to address below.
