Course Description:
The Hazardous Materials Awareness course provides attendees from all backgrounds with knowledge and practical experience in essential, awareness-level hazardous materials competencies. The Hazardous Materials Awareness course provides students with the training and proficiency in identifying hazardous materials. Utilizing the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG) to identify hazardous materials risks and protective actions, utilizing hazard communication documents to identify hazardous materials risks and protective actions, and determining awareness-level personnel and public protective actions. The class will take place on July 18th at 2:00 p.m. EST and will end at 6:00 pm EST.
Student Criteria:
The target audience for this course is personnel with awareness-level hazardous materials or weapons of mass destruction responsibilities in their jurisdiction. No Prequisites Required
Special Notes:
Advance student registration is REQUIRED and must be received by July 17th, 2024. Minimum # of students is 12. You are considered accepted as a student in this class upon receipt of your application by this office so you will not receive a letter acknowledging that acceptance. This is a virtual class, no materials will be provided.
