Event Description:

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents (MGT904) provides training and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the ICS. The course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 and ICS-200 courses. This course is intended for individuals who may assume a supervisory role in expanding incidents of Type 3 incidents. This will provide necessary context and understanding of the skills they will develop when they take ICS-400. This course is 24 hours (3 days). This offering includes the ICS Forms Course (MGT-347) which will prepare you to work with the ICS Forms used in the Incident Command Planning process to assist in the development of an Incident Action Plan (IAP). You will be introduced to the forms and will practice how to develop and write effective objectives to manage an expanding all-hazards incident. The course will allow you to learn and experience the benefits of using the forms in responding to emergencies or managing planned events.

Topics:
* ICS Staffing and organization to include: reporting and working relationships and information flow. * Transfer of Command * Unified Command functions in a multi-jurisdictional or multi-agency incident * ICS forms * Resource Management * Interagency mission planning and procurement.

PARTICIPANT CRITERIA:
Personnel who require advanced application of the ICS. All Mid-level Management Federal/State/Local/Tribal/Private Sector & Nongovernmental personnel to include should take ICS-300, including: Persons serving as command staff, section chiefs, strike team leaders, task force leaders, unit leaders, division/group supervisors, branch directors, and multi-agency coordination system/emergency operations center staff.

PERQUISITE:
Participants must work in a supervisory or managerial capacity and have completed FEMA’s IS-700, IS-100, and IS-200. Certificates for these courses must be submitted with registration. Email these certificates to wturner@campbellcountyky.gov or mail to address below.

Delivered by National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERRTC), Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), member of National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC).
