COURSE TITLE: Whole Community Emergency Management Planning (AWR-330) course

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Through guided discussions, individual and group activities, the AWR-330 Whole Community
Emergency Management Planning Course helps participants identify and better understand the
stakeholders and resources within their communities. Students will learn to develop strategies
to better incorporate stakeholders into their emergency planning process, with a goal of
increasing individual, community, and national resilience to all hazards.

PARTICIPANT CRITERIA:
This course is designed for any individual involved in emergency management planning from
both public and private agencies. The intended audience for this course includes but is not
limited to:
Directors of local response agencies
Department Heads/Chiefs from:
o Emergency Management
o Fire
o Law Enforcement
o Emergency Medical Service (EMS)
o Hazardous Materials (HazMat)
o Public Works
o Water Utilities
o Public Health
o Health Care
o Governmental Administrative
Public Information Officers (PIOs)
Resident federal agency representatives (FBI, BATF, Secret Service, FEMA, TSA)
CEOs of Hospitals
College and University Representatives
School District Superintendents
Office of Emergency Management

PREREQUISITE: There are no prerequisites for this course.

The Campbell County Office of Emergency Management and the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security are sponsors for this Course. Delivered by National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERRTC), Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), member of National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC).
