TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT

COURSE TITLE:
Incident Command System (ICS) Curricula, Train-the-Trainer
(MGT-906)
DATE:
June 3-7, 2024
LOCATION:
Alexandria Fire District
7951 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001
Downstairs in the back of the building in the Community Room
TIME: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM each day
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course will enhance your instructional skills and prepare you to deliver FEMA’s Incident
Command Systems (ICS) curriculum. While ICS-100 and ICS-200 courses are addressed, the
major emphasis is on ICS-300 and ICS-400.
You will learn from training professionals how to use adult-learning techniques to get the best
out of the classes you teach. You will develop and deliver a training module during the course.
This course is 40 hours (5 days). Registration opens at 7:30 AM on the 3rd, class starts each day
at 8:00 AM.
Participants in this course must have the following pre-requisites and accompanying
certificates to upload as part of the registration process:
     1. IS-100.c, 200.c, 700.b, 800.d (most recent versions).
     2. ICS-300 & 400 (2019 version, previous versions are not accepted per FEMA/EMI).
     3. G-191 EOC/ICS Interface (2019 version).
     4. Adult instructor training (Can be FEMA, Fire Service, LE, military, college course in adult
         education).
     5. Documentation (letter from supervisor) of having worked at an incident/exercise in a
         senior position ICS structure.

Please take a few minutes to complete the course registration online via the TEEX Student
Registration Portal. As you know the filling out of the registration forms consumes about the
first hour of class, by doing this prior to class the course will move much faster. Class size is
limited to twenty-five (25) participants. The first twenty-five (25) to register with TEEX’s are
who is admitted to the course.

If this is the first time registering for a TEEX class or it has a been awhile, participants may need
to create a TEEX Student Portal Account. Also, as part of the effort to go green, participants
will no longer receive a paper copy of their certificate in the mail. After class, you will be able
to log into your TEEX Student Portal account and download a copy of your certificate. It’ll take
about 10 business days for the admin staff to close the class and then you will be able to
access your certificates online. A flyer detailing how to create a Student Portal account and
upload pre-requisites certificates is attached.
