 The Kentucky Pipeline Safety & Coordinated Response Exercise (CoRE) will start meetings in various regions across the Commonwealth and on various dates between January 24, and March 16, 2023.

 

As you're probably aware, there is no cost to attend any these sessions, which feature a catered meal. In addition, you will get:

 

1. A training program lasting up to 2 hours. This program is designed and developed in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute's Recommended Practice 1162 (as promulgated by PHMSA of U.S. DOT under 49 CFR 192.616 and 49 CFR 195.400).

 

2. The opportunity to meet with personnel who own and operate pipeline infrastructure in your jurisdiction.

 

We are interested in getting as many emergency responders and communicators as possible to attend these training sessions. I would also request that you consider sharing this information with others in your agency and county -- and those you train with -- in case they would like to RSVP to attend a meeting.

Locate the meeting you wish to attend. Then, locate the RSVP button to the right of the meeting listing click on it, and the rest of the process is self-explanatory. One of the registration screens will ask you for a "web code."  If you don’t know your web code, simply click on the “Register As A Guest” link and follow the instructions from there. 

 

In addition, Please fill out one of the "Capabilities Assessment" forms (Please note we only need one (1) capability form for each individual emergency response agency). Please be sure to coordinate with your agency management to make sure you are the correct person to be filling out the single Capabilities Assessment form for your agency and then go online to the following link:

We ask you to fill out this form because we share the information you provide about your personnel, training, equipment, and capabilities with our pipeline clients, so they will know what you bring to the table in an actual response. The pipeline companies also have a regulatory requirement to gather this information. By filling this form out on-line, you will not have to fill it out when you attend the meeting.

 

We ask each person to register separately in order that we can get the correct amount of food for the meeting.
