Pease follow the attached registration information from LSU NCBRT to complete course registration. This class has limited availability and registration will be closed upon reaching the maximum numbers of registered students.

Course Description
The goal of this course is to provide tactical team personnel and emergency responders with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely and effectively respond to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) incidents.
Through a combination of classroom sessions and comprehensive practical exercises, participants gain knowledge and experience in decontamination procedures; selection and use of PPE; tactical operations involving an IED; identification and characteristics of chemical and biological agents; identification and characteristics of radiological isotopes; use of detection equipment; and planning and performing tactical operations in a CBRNE environment.

Suggested Audience
The participant audience includes any agency that may respond to and assist with CBRNE incidents, including:
  • 12-15 Fire Personnel
  • 2-4 EMS Personnel
  • 12-15 Law Enforcement Personnel (Filled)
FEMA / SID Number
All participants are required to have a FEMA Student Identification (SID) number to attend any homeland security training whether it be in-person or online. The SID number takes the place of your social security number and can be obtained on the FEMA website if needed (https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register). Obtaining an SID number should not take more than three minutes.

All participants must also register with LSU. After completing the Butler County Sheriff's Office Emergency Response Services Unit registration form, participants must also register with LSU.
