Campbell County Animal Services remains transparent in sharing monthly service stats with the community. CCAS has worked hard to maintain a 90% or higher live release rate since 2016, which can be attributed to our Community Cat Program which includes Trap-Neuter-Return, Barn Cat Program, scheduled intake, adoption counseling, and maintaining good relationships with rescue organizations.
CCAS began our Community Cat Program in 2016, which provides the following services to Campbell County:
In our first year 238 cats were returned to the field after being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and ear tipped, which accounted for a total of 20% of all cat intakes that year. By 2022 this increased to 440 cats returned to the field, or 78% of all cat intakes at the shelter.
Below are service stats dating back to calendar year 1992. Click any of the links below to review annual and monthly service stats for both dogs and cats.
