COURSE DESCRIPTION:
We will start at the US EPA Warehouse in Erlanger most mornings, unless otherwise communicated. Most of our time is spent on the Licking River in boats, deploying boom, drum skimmers, etc. and on a local creek demonstrating underflow and weir dams. We instruct basic Boater Safety (including an opportunity to receive NASBLA certification for people that attend all week), boom deployment techniques that are applicable to all inland waterways.
Feel free to have interested personnel email or call me directly. There is no cost to attend for response or emergency management personnel. We will need some basic information in order to arrange access to this federal facility, but it is not difficult.
